WHAT IS IT?
Personal Capital is like a glorified Mint Account. It allows you to track all your finances in one place. It has a beautiful design and is very user-friendly. It was founded by Bill Harris, the former CEO of Intuit and PayPal. It automatically updates your spending and breaks down all your expenses and incomes. It gives advice on how to save money and even allows you to connect to a personal financial adviser for free if you have over $100,000.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It is free to join. You can use the desktop or mobile version. It is secure so you don’t have to ever worry about any online threats. Some other features include Stock Options Tracker, Asset Allocation Target, Investment Checkup, and Tax Optimization.
WHY SHOULD I SIGN UP?
You should sign up because you give a $20 donation to Habitat for Humanity just for signing up and linking one of your accounts. It will help you better understand your finances and how to grow your money. It will help you make long-term and short-term goals that are in your best interest. If that part doesn’t interest you, the $20 bonus is well worth the 5 minutes to sign up.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH PERSONAL CAPITAL
I personally love Personal Capital. My favorite thing about it is how easy it is to use. I think it is great to have such an all-inclusive app that I can use for free. It’s like having my own financial adviser whenever I need to talk to one.
