Who Qualifies for Universal Orlando Military Discounts?
Active duty and retired service members are eligible for specially priced theme park tickets and vacation packages.
In order to qualify for the discounts, you must present your military identification or your DoD identification at authorized Military Ticket & Travel offices (ITT).
Eligible military servicemembers include:
- Active-duty members
- Retired military members and their spouses
- Department of Defense civilians
But what kind of discounts can you expect? Let’s explore all of the Universal Orlando discounts offered to military and DoD families.
Universal’s Military Freedom Pass
Universal’s Military Freedom Pass is offered as a two-park pass or a three-park pass.
The two-park pass allows holders to visit both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Island of Adventure for $199.99 per adult ticket. If you’re feeling a little extra adventurous and are planning on visiting Universal in the warmer months, spending $30.00 extra will get you the three-park pass, giving you access to:
- Universal Studio Florida
- Universal Island of Adventure
- Universal’s Volcano Bay (Universal’s Waterpark)
The pass can be used any day from January 1 – December 31 with no blackout dates.
Holders may also use the pass to enter certain live entertainment venues at Universal’s CityWalk. Refunds are not available for the tickets, so be sure to use them within the year you made the purchase.
If you are looking to spend multiple days in the park, be sure to talk with your ITT office about the extended stay offers available to you — Universal offers 1-day to 5-day park tickets — and you can look into the different vacation packages while you are there.
Universal Orlando Vacation Packages
Military members, retirees, and DoD civilian employees are also eligible for discounts on several Universal vacation packages. These packages are customizable and start as low as $85 per person, per night.
Military Create Your Own Vacation Package
When you choose the Military Create Your Own Vacation package, you can select your hotel of choice, customize your park admissions, add any enhancements to your resort stay, and add airfare to your package.
With the Military Create Your Own Vacation Package, you receive:
- A 4-night hotel stay
- A 3-park military freedom pass
- Early admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal’s Volcano Bay — enjoy the park an hour earlier than other guests
- Live entertainment at Universal CityWalk
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Military Vacation Package
If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’ll want to ask your ITT office about customizing your “create your own package” if you can include a day at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Universal Orlando wants to make vacations possible for all budgets, which is why they also offer military discounts at select hotel resorts, including:
